"My name is Nitin and Donsøer is a reflection of my personal journey. As a person of half Czech and half Indian descent, I have been given a rare gift: the ability to fully embrace and understand both of these cultures. My life is not divided between two places, it is a connection between them. I have learned to perceive the world through two different lenses and at Donsøer I have aligned these perspectives into one vision.

My background has allowed me to delve deep into the roots of the craft where others only see the surface. This brand was not born at a desk, but out of a desire to combine the best that both sides have to offer.

Donsøer is the result of my decision to build a bridge between tradition and modern order.

My journey to the perfect product took me to family workshops in India and Indonesia, to masters in Thailand and China. I searched for the noblest materials that humanity has revered for centuries. From the cool texture of premium linen to the subtle shine of pure silk to the softness of select cotton. Each material in our offer has its own meaning and soul – no synthetics, no substitutes. Just pure nature that breathes with you.

I want to know the names of the people who make our fabrics or carve our wood, and I want to be sure that their craftsmanship is properly recognized. It is this personal connection to the production that allows me to guarantee quality that has all but disappeared in today's world of mass production.

Today, in our Prague studio, we cultivate these materials. Here they receive their final order, minimalist shape and European craftsmanship. In every piece that reaches you, there is a piece of my story - respect for Eastern materials and a Western sense of purity.
