January 2021

Initial impulse and confrontation with reality

It all started with the launch of our first project, which became our biggest lesson. Faced with mass production and a global market, we realized how deeply we were out of tune with how things were normally done. Invisible origins, dubious quality and synthetic materials disguised as luxury led us to a clear definition: we defined everything that our future brand would not represent.

October 2022

A turning point and a new beginning

We quickly scrapped the original plans to simply transform the existing business. We understood that if we wanted to build something with real value, we couldn’t build on the old foundations. A strategy for the current Donsøer Brand began to emerge, built on total transparency and an absolute refusal to compromise. It was our year of silence and precise planning.

2023

The journey to the roots and the search for masters

We set out into the world to find the best resources, right at the source. We sought out places where craftsmanship is still passed down as a precious heritage from generation to generation. This journey took us from the masterful woodworking of Jepara, Indonesia, to the finest textiles in Ahmedabad, India. We established direct relationships with people who understand the soul of the material as much as we do.

2024

Taking responsibility – own production

A breakthrough year. In order to guarantee not only uncompromising quality, but also ethics and Fair Trade principles, we established our own production hub in India for the production of home textiles. We stopped being dependent on anonymous manufacturers. We gained absolute control over every meter of fabric and ensured that every product is the result of honest handwork from the beginning.

February 2025

The birth of Donsøer and eight months of tuning

We officially launched the brand in February 2025. Eight months of intensive identity building followed, during which we completely redesigned the branding five times in a row. Every detail had to match our vision – from the logo to the feelings our website evokes. In October 2025, we finally opened the gates of our world to customers who place the highest demands on themselves and their surroundings.

SEPTEMBER 2025

Launch in Slovakia

We have made Donsøer available to Slovak customers. Preparations for customers in Germany, Austria and England have also begun.

January 2026

Standard without exceptions

Today, the question for us is no longer whether we will produce, but how. As early as January 2026, we uncompromisingly returned 83% of the delivered material because it did not meet our strict criteria. This approach defines our present and future. Every piece that leaves our Prague studio after final hand finishing is proof that we have not deviated from our path even by a millimeter.
